We're coming up on our second Phoenix Assembly! Come ready to sit out underneath the stars in the beautiful open-air Cathedral Room at The Icehouse. The theme for the October gathering is Live Better. We are going to have 3 wonderful humans share with us specific things they have done and are doing to make the most of this one life we know we have. Their ideas should inspire us all to rethink and reconsider our own lives and what we can do to Live Better. No matter who you are or what you've done, we can all admit there's room for growth!
Here are some other notes to get us ready for October 26th:
Parking. We understand it's a hassle. Here's the solution: Once the main parking lot is filled up at The Icehouse, we will direct everyone to the alleyway behind The Icehouse. It is open parking and should accommodate the rest of us. We'll have someone out on the street directing traffic.
Costumes? Hey, we know it's almost Halloween, so if you wanna dress up a bit, feel free. Just keep it PG-rated, as there will be children. We love celebrating human expression!
Social Hour afterwards. The main event should end around 6:30 and we will have another social gathering in the Tea Room afterwards. We have devised a fun activity for us all to engage in that should make for an interesting time. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Wanna get involved? Visit our volunteer page and tell us what you're thinking. We're gonna try to accommodate everyone as best we can, so bear with us as we sort out the details.
Tell others! We're still trying to promote the heck out of this thing because we now there's a lot of people out there who would love to join in. Don't be shy. We understand that The Sunday Assembly isn't for everyone but who cares, nothing is for everyone...
Our November theme is "Help Often" and one of our fantastic community members Diane Onofrio will be spearheading our efforts to give back locally as best as we can. She will be forming a Help Often Committee that is going to begin brainstorming and planning how to best utilize our resources. If you would like to get involved, please send her an email to email@example.com. The committee will have its first meeting next month.
We know we're building something great and we're excited to see you all in a week! Come prepared to think critically about your own life. Here is a question to consider in the meantime: Are you living the life you want to live? After all, there's no second chances.
